2/5/99 SAN FRANCISCO
The robins come one day each winter and strip (the black berries) from my
ivy. I've seen small flocks of robins around for the last week or so,
generally searching lawns for worms. My huge ivy bush was full of black
berries and today 6-10 came and munched those luscious berries for hours. Tonight a huge flock of 6 or 7 dozen robins flew over us heading West!!! I've never
seen that many at one time.
