Saw my first Monarch of the season. It was in my backyard in the afternoon. It seemed early, but we really haven't had much winter at all here. My hibiscus bushes have never even dropped their leaves. My two Japanese Magnolia trees were in full bloom and the smell of the blossoms may have attracted the Monarch.
