Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 02/19/1999

Number: 1

We have been tracking robins and taking the ground temperature for two weeks. We have seen robins everyday. Today we saw a robin pull a worm out of the ground. The ground temperature is warm because we have had warm days. Our average ground temperature has been 40 F. For the past two weeks we have sighted 22 robins. We have also listened to tapes using songbirds and have been able to hear robins. We are so excited! This weekend we may get some snow flurries and we are wondering if this will make the robins go away.
