Tulips EMERGED

Date: 02/22/1999

Number: 1

By February 11, 1999 a second grade student noticed that our Red Emperor Tulips were sprouting! February 17th third grade students measured the leaves. The highest blade was 11". One was 7", two were 6", five were 5", and the lowest blade was 3". Today is February 22 and I just checked the flowers and there are no booms yet. I looked at the map on the Internet today and was surprised at how many tulips had emerged in the Us.
