Our class counted 8 out of 12 tulips that have emerged so far in our circular garden bed in front of Cook Elementary School. The tallest tulip was 2 inches high. Other tulips were 1 inch or less. We couldn't come outside when the tulips first emerged because it was snowing. Six days before the temperatures had been in the 50's and 60's. That's when some students first saw the tulips pop up. That would have been February 19, 1999.
