Tulips EMERGED

Date: 02/16/1999

Number: 1

Our Red Emperor Tulips emerged on February 16! For several weeks our ground was bare. We had chilly days and cold nights with highs in the 30s-40s and lows in the teens-20s.
As of March 4, our tulips are approximately 1" tall. Since March 5, several inches of snow have fallen on them. The temperatures have now dropped to highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits. We are not sure how these weather conditions will affect their growth.
