The American robin was seen in the backyard on the snow covered lawn. The temperature was cool (high of -5 degrees C) that day although there was no wind. There was about a quarter of an inch of snow. January and February was generally snow free. Daytime highs during February only failed to reach the melting point on one day. March, however, was cold was snow on the 2,3 and 4th with lows near -10 to -12 degrees C. The snow and cold did not last long. I haven't seen the robin for a few days. Perhaps it is progressing further north.
