We installed 400 taps in our maple trees on March 1st. In the late
afternoon we went back and gathered 150 gallons of sap. The sap continued
to run each day until the cold weather set in again on the 5th. We have
friends locally who tapped their trees on Feb. 15th and they have been
getting lots of sap since that time.
