When we looked out our window we saw that our tulips had emerged. They are about as tall as a grownup's index finger. They are brownish red, like maroon. We noticed that they are fatter at the bottom and come to a point at the top. Our garden has had a deep cover of snow until the last day or two. Now it is melting. On St. Patricks' day the temperature here was very springlike (60+ degrees).
