Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/18/1999

Number: 1

We had been waiting to see robins near our school. Some kids had seen them at home. We were so surprised to look out our classroom on Thursday morning and see first three, then four, then six robins on the lawn. Then we saw them pecking at the ground and eating worms. The snow had just melted and the day before was a mild 58 degrees F. The temperatures had seemed so cold and we hadn't expected the worms to migrate so fast. We saw more robins today. We're hoping to hear them singing soon.
