Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/22/1999

Number: 1

Our Nursery students saw their first (validated) robins of the season on March 22 around noontime. Then, just before 3 p.m., our ball field was covered with robins pulling earthworms from the wet field. We were very excited to see this wave. Actually, our students, ages 4 and 5, say they have been seeing robins for weeks. "Last night, while looking at the moon," one student told us, "I saw a robin between Venus and Mars." We've waited to report our data until the same robins seen by our students were seen by teachers.
