Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/19/1999

Number: 1

We planted an early blooming yellow tulip garden next to our Red Emperor tulip garden. The Yellow tulips emerged about three weeks ago because of all the warm weather we were having. Then it got cold for a couple of weeks. We have been eagerly awaiting the Red Emperor's emergence. Finally they all started poking their little red tipped leaves out of the ground on March 19th. The students are so excited to see their own tulips surviving the winter, and forcasting spring. We do have a little friend who has decided to taste the tender tulip leaves. Time to make a tulip cage!
