This afternoon I had been noticing the song of a red-winged blackbird outside my classroom window, which is always a sure sign of spring, when the custodian came in and said, "Look, there's a robin!" We watched, and saw another join it. Couldn't tell if they were male or female. This seems a week or two earlier than usual.
