Dear Journey North,
DUring spring vactions, a mother duck came into our garden a made a nest in the bushes. You can't see it unless you are close up to it. We think an animal is coming at night and stealing and eating the mother's eggs. Yesterday we found one empty egg in the dirt and two in the grass. This moring, we found three more out there that had been eaten. Our suspects are starlings, raccoons, opossums, cats, or crows. We hope that the rest of the eggs will be safe.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kennedy's 1st Gr. Class
