Woodcocks out out. I heard the call (if you can call it that) just after dusk at 8:00 pm. With the clear sky and full moon, it was still very light out. This call was observed in a 9 acre lot that has not been mowed in 20 years. It is adjacent to a little private road called Partridge Run next to my home and the Schenectady Museum's Nature Preserve along the Mohawk at Lock 7.
