I was in Toronto for most of the month and only returned to Austin on Monday 29th but my wife reported to me, via email, that she had seen "two monarchs nectaring on the Senecio. Spring really is here!!!" on Sunday the 21st. This was at the Stengl "Lost Pines" Biological Station near Smithville, TX (approx. 30° 04' 51" N and 97° 10' 23" W).
