The hawk watches have been reporting the return of the hawks
from South America for about 10 days.
Hazel Bazemore Park
is about 75 miles south of Victoria so we will be on the lookout
for some of these hawks today. Everytime we leave the main
building, the students will be looking skyward. After the hawks
liftoff from near the park, we get to see some of them from two
to three hours later, depending on the wind. My wife and I are
looking forward to seeing "kettles" again. We are also hoping for the first "fall out" today of migrating birds after a day of north wind.
