Warm Front Pushes Spring into Ontario
Grab your binocs! A major push of migrants hit sw Ontario (and likely most of the southern part of the province) this morning (if my yard is any indication). In a five minute stroll around the yard I had the following firsts for the year for my yard:
American woodcock (1)
Sapsucker (2)
flicker (2)
eastern phoebe (3)
field sparrow (3)
fox sparrow (2)
brown creeper (4)
tree swallow (2)
American pipit (2)
golden-crowned kinglet (30)!
In addition, everything is singing up a storm.
