Snow Geese are headed north! Last few days and nights we have observed those long "V" shaped groupings with binoculars.
Thousands of Geese, mostly Snow Geese, winter in the rice fields of south LA near Lafayette and Lake Charles and into TX. Many of them fly east to the Mississippi River in order to follow that huge landmark northward (and reverse in the fall). That puts them directly over New Orleans and our home for a great show as city lights illuminate them from below.
