Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/07/1999

Number: 1

Continuation of report- left out information. The wind speed was
5-10 mph, time 4pm. There has been no rain in the last 24 hours
and the forecast is mostly clear for the next few days. Magnolias, cherry trees and other bulb type flowers are blooming.
The milkweed in our garden is just beginning to send up shoots
1/4 inch tall-no leaves out. Could not find any eggs on the
milkweed. This is the first monarch we have see since we have
been watching for butterflies this spring. We always look for
butterflies whenever we are outside - it's our hobby and business.
