We had to estimate the date the tulips really emerged out of the ground since they were covered with leaves from last fall. We carefully "raked" with our fingers and were excited to see at least 30 tulips heading for the. They were a little pale the first day, but have since turned a healthy green.We also put up a protective border around them.
