Hi JN.
I discovered Vaux's Swifts as I was out near Kerr Dam which is in a deep river gorge. I also heard a Canyon Wren! WOW! A Townsend's Solitaire was calling and two Kestrels were copulating at the top of a tree over my head. It's very warm...60+ degrees. However, I specifically went out to find loons, since there was a sighting in British Columbia to the north of us...and found nothing yet. Spring is springing!
