live at Longbow Lake, Ontario, Canada, 10 miles east of Kenora, Ontario. The first loon went over today (probably after a 300
mile jaunt from Thunder Bay, Ontario on Lake Superior) and called his arrival. The ice on Longbow Lake is still a few days to thawing and the loons usually go on to
the Lake of the Woods (Longbow Lake drains into Lake of the Woods and part of that lake is open now) and come back every evening to survey the situation here until the lake is open. This is April 20, 1999.
