Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 04/16/1999

Number: 1

At long last, we have finally seen our first "wave" of Robins. Although our first Robin sighting was on March 12th, we have never seen more than two Robins at a time until last Friday. Since then, there seem to be many Robins around and they often start singing around 5:30am! Also, we have had two days of rain and so worms are now appearing. No sign of nest making yet but lots of singing. I haven't noticed any females yet either. We also have Juncos in the yard and a Mourning Dove. We live across from a Provincial Park so we see lots of wildlife. Today was especially interesting because two deer were across the street eating the fallen catkins from Poplar trees! We also spotted Prairie Crocuses and Three-flowered Avens in bloom.
