While vacationing in Texas this past week we had the priviledge of viewing a few bald eagles. Our guide for this tour told us that it was late to be seeing an eagle, but we did see two juveniles along the river. They must have been less than 5 years old since they didn't have the white adult plumage on their heads yet. Most eagles had already passed through. The eagles do not nest in this area of Tx., but migrate through. I was wondering if they would be considered part of the Eastern migration or the Western one? Either way it was a treat since there are no bald eagles in RI that I am aware of.
