My second sighting was of a worn female was one quarter mile south of Ripgut Prairie Natural History Area in Bates county, near Rich Hill, Missouri on April 21, 1999. The park coordinates were N 38 degrees 06.732 minutes, W 94 degrees 19.899 minutes. This one was observed flying low along the roadside near some flowers at around 11:00 a.m. This was also seen in full sunshine and the temperature was in the low 70's.
