On April 22, only three tulips were completely open. On April 23, most of the garden bed was blooming.Students had different expectations about what the tulips would look like. They liked the bright red color of the tulips.They were surprised by the pointed petals. Students enjoyed the beauty and the fragrance of the tulips. One student thought the shape of the tulip would be more like a cup, and not as open like it was. We liked the pattern of the three rounded petals being separated by the three pointed petals.
