Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/12/1999

Number: 1

We returned to school after a very mild weekend to find the buds ready to open. By noon time there was a row of lovely red tulips in full bloom. The children enjoyed finding and admiring their own blossoms. The first three plants of the second grade garden did not bloom. They were the ones covered in the snow by the plow the week before. This led to speculation about why they did not bloom while the others, which had been snow covered, did so well. There were such interesting theories!
