Habitat

Date: 04/27/1999

Number: 1

Our school has planted a small habitat garden with plants that
provide food for butterflies and birds (berries, fruits, nectar
and larva plants). We also have a large shade tree in the habitat, a compost bin, shrubs, and a small pool which we feel
each day. We will be adding bird feeders, including a hummingbird feeder, and a section of milkweed before school is out. We are also vermicomposting and adding their compost to the garden and one grade is raising ladybugs with a ladybug home to be added. We are very proud of our habitat.
