WHO CAME UP WITH THAT ISOTHERM THEORY?? (* see below) Gee, it's so NOT true up here. This is the second time I saw this theory *abort* so dramatically. Other years it's not as dramatic. We have had warmer temps, but not any where near a constant 36° isotherm. Our temps have ranged from -10 to 41° over a 7 day period and averages out to somewhere around 10°. We've had some cold, cold nights here still. Our rivers and sloughs are still locked in ice although the snow is thawing fast during the day. I think the robins come right around April 25-28 EVERY YEAR here, regardless of the temps. but it's always fun doing the isotherm protocol with the kids!
