Just an update on our first robin sighting from 4 May: we now have five pairs of robins in or near the village, with four pairs around the homes and another pair across the river at a fish camp. We have also heard white-crowned sparrows in the past 2 days. The temps are finally above freezing in the day and mud is forming... the river is still locked in ice, though. We expect lots of geese, ducks and swans when the temps go up into the 40s on Sunday.
