I saw a monarch butterfly today. I'm sure it was a male. It was flying around about 75' away in one of the perennial gardens at the Linnaeus Arboretum. Just the way it flew I knew it was a monarch. It was at 3:20 p.m. and it was a brightly colored monarch, it wasn't faded and frail. Obviously one that had emerged in TX or someother place on the way up and not from Mexico.
