I saw my 1st Monarch in Manhattan on Thursday (6th); a faded one
headed north at speed, so no better ID than that. It was just north of
home so I rushed to the garden to check all the milkweed, but no
luck. (No surprise either; milkweed in town is relatively rare and
hard to find; the Konza Prairie just south of us is covered with
milkweed.)
