I've seen alot of "Signs of Spring" here in Blackwood over the
past couple of weeks. First, the yellow-rumped Warblers are
back in abundance. Second, at a near by lake I saw a Baltimore
Oriole, a Robin on her nest, a female Mallard duck with 4 chicks swimming behind her. Third, this week spotted in my neighborhood a Scarlet Tanager, 7 Cedar Waxwings, Hummingbirds, a Tiger and a Black Swallowtail a Fritillary, Skippers, Morning Cloak, Comma Butterflies. Also water turtles. Today I found a half of a Robins egg. I haven't seen a Monarch yet. My milkweed is two foot tall now. Bought them at a local Butterfly farm this spring.
