I saw a fresh monarch and a tiger swallowtail butterfly near our
butterfly garden at school May 10, 1999. Three boys in my second
grade class told me they saw a monarch while jumping on a trampoline
in a backyard May 2, 1999. Another boy told me he saw a tiger
swallowtail the same day. The milkweed in our butterfly garden is
about 10" tall.
