I saw my first monarch at home here in Waconia. It was 5:00 p.m., 71 degrees F, with high humidity and storms pending. The monarch was flying north right along the shore of Lake Waconia.

It was zooming along pretty fast, not searching for food, and I was unable to determine the sex.
