The 5th grade students at our school saw their first monarch while they were playing soccer during gym class. They spotted it flying close to the ground. They said it was bright orange, so we believe that it is one of the new generation hatched this spring. Everyone was very excited, as we have been anxiously awaiting the first monarch.
