Yes, we say our first monarch on May 2 here in our yard in
Valley Center, KS. We have seen four total, one just
yesterday. The milkweed doesn't seem to be up yet in our
butterfly garden, don't know if it is growing in the wild.
This is late for us to see monarchs here, it is usually at
least a month earlier; sometimes earlier than that. We have
had a few hummingbirds on their way to the mountains (I
think), but the butterfly population is pretty slow.
