Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/16/1999

Number: 1

Contributed by Monarch Watch

Sunday, 16 May 1999 about 3:00 EDT spotted my first monarch flying
through. Seemed very intent on a path going north and not stopping to
visiting our meadow here. We do have at this time a large variety of
nectar plants and bushes blooming and milkweed about three to five inches
tall. I am in Carleton, that is about half way between Toledo, Ohio and
Detroit, Michigan.
