All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 05/19/1999

Number: 1

sorry I've been so busy this year: between the New Carissa grounding here in Waldport and a wild winter weatherwise, I just had time to accomplish the basics for the Whale Watching Spoken Here program. Just wanted to advise our Spring migration data is up on our website http://www.teleport.com/~mjrivers/ and request that you please add a link to our site somewhere on yours if possible. We have a link to yours, of course!

In 12 winters, this winter (98/99) ranked 10th (low) in the number of southbound number of whales counted and this spring (99) ranked 10th in 13 spring watch weeks. Weather plays such a big role in the number observed, but it certainly agrees with the ACS numbers, etc.

Sorry again for being so out of touch and time! You guys do such a great job. Thank you
