Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/19/1999

Number: 1

Swain, Will and Andrew saw two monarchs on the playground after school. It was a cool day with a brisk wind from the west. They were positive they were monarchs and checked the insect book carefully to be sure. They reported that the wings were fresh looking and bright. We have had several other students report monarchs in the last two weeks but this is the first sighting we have posted.
