While having lunch at the Long Trail Brew Pub in Bridgewater, VT on 5/18/99, at approx 12:20PM observed a monarch in fairly good shape...little wear on wings..nectaring at dandelions. Bridgewater is about 10 miles north of Woodstock, VT on Rt 4. Long Trail makes a fine pale ale, honey-flavored, called Pollenator. The observation was made before any Pollenator was sampled. Tiger swallowtails were by far the most common butterfly in the meadow/parking area.
