We were very excited to discover a northward migration that started here! All winter white-throat sparrows have fed at the feeder and hopped around the yard. In April they began to sing "old Sam Peobody". I thought perhaps they were going to nest here, though I have usually seen and heard them in the mountains to the north during the summer. I can now report that during the first week of May they all left! Not one has been seen since then.
