I saw my first Monarch in Winnipeg today at about 12:20 P.M. on the south bank of the Assiniboine River. It was bright orange and flitted away after only seconds. My mother stole my thunder when she told me she had seen a couple on her lilac bush in the backyard, earlier this week. Another friend told me that she and her students spotted three Monarchs today while walking in Birds Hill Park. The Monarchs have arrived in Winnipeg!
