Bingo--we recovered our first monarch egg for 1999 on June 14, after a partial search of the plants in our front lawn.

I need to amend my message. Last night I found a Monarch larva which is at
least two weeks old, which would bring Monarchs here about May 25-May 30.
Since I didn't find anything when I checked our plants on Sunday, and there
is no indication where it has been feeding, I'm at a loss to know where it
has been hiding. Also, our June 14 egg hatched on June 21.
