I spotted my first monarch today, at 7:30 pm near Warman, Sask. It was doggedly headed in a NW direction. We have had some strong SE winds lately and I suspect this helps in pushing this insect our way. In the past 4 years I have only seen monarchs in this area of Saskatchewan in the first 2 weeks of June. Last year, however, I did not see any. Len Wassenaar
