I woke up at 7:30 the other morning to find a Robin building a nest in a large deck umbrella in my backyard. The bird worked all day and did not return for a while. There was another robin who sat on the deck ledge and watched the builder as he/she worked. But today I woke up to a robin sitting in the nest and she has not left since there is also another robin sitting on the posts of the umbrella watching her. These birds are not scared of my family or our dogs. They do not fly away, they just watch us watching them. It is so exciting. I love my backyard!!!
