Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/27/1999

Number: 1

Park Forest would not come up for the Lat & Long site. At 2:30 pm today I saw a female Monarch in my garden. She had wings completely intact but worn looking in color. She spent most of an hour visiting my Asclepias Tuberosa Milkweeds. It looked like she was trying to lay eggs but I never saw her on the undersides of the leaves, and I didn't see any after she left. It was 86 degrees today, partly cloudy and humid. By the way Park Forest is southwest of Chicago near the intersections of I80 and I57.
