Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/27/1999

Number: 1

Our newly hatched monarchs continue to lay all summer but predators, especially wasps, harvest most of them. As schools
recommence 71 SCHOOL Butterfly Sanctuaries registered with the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs will be eagerly checking the population. The rest of our 246 Sanctuaries in District 8 are excited, too, as Minnos' Florida Butterfly Gardening comes out and he and Dr.Taylor will both be speaking at Clearwater's Bird Festival/Nature Expo Oct.1 and 2nd!
