The first caterpillar attached to the top of the cage and made the classic "J". By afternoon, the "J" started to straighten out and the caterpillar was found the next morning stuck on the side of the cage drying up. Another caterpillar started a chrysalis and dried up. Mrs. Chris Grove across town, had one to make a chrysalis and then string out into a green gel. Mrs. Grove's are not in close proximity to corn. Could it be the hot dry weather?
